I sold 4 of my road legal crawler some years back. 3 of the 4 had offers close to what I would consider and it wasn’t even posted for sale. For 1, I lost a ton of money because I sold it to a close friend that did me dirty and flip the truck for more money.

but the current built, I’ll let it rot in the garage then to see it gone.

I'm about to lose money on mine so I can build another one that fits the whole family. I'm not totally stoked on it but in the end it'll be worth it (not monetarily).

that’s the game we play and gamble. We end up losing no matter. As long as you’re happy with the selling price, you’ll be fine.

I want to 3 link the GX but might just go 37 with ifs and the current Icon billet suspensions it has.

if you’re in a state that has no emission test, I would LS3 swap and custom axles.

It's going to be a trailer queen so that is pretty much the plan.

i pick option 3 but option 4 isn’t bad either.

option 3: neither. Keep both 2nd gen as is.

option 4: sell both and buy one already built. It’s way cheaper and no stress.

TBH, if you can make it work, do link suspension. Link articulation is badass.

Stupid question time. I'm starting the research into a ton swap on my 04 reg cab. Looking to do leafs front and rear mainly due to the ease of set up and road manners (I have no tow rig, so I drive to the trails and home). Do you guys know a good write up for this type of swap?

Denso #221-3137 is ~1.5” shorter than Denso #221-3136. I ran 3136 for years and both will work. TBH, might as well go full KoyoRad aluminum #VH010513 & Koyo SK-C13 radiator cap. Koyo is 2 row and 1.75” thick vs Denso 1 row and 1.50” thick.

Koyo VH010513 and Denso 221-3136 have near identical overall measurements, hanging about 1.50” below the frame, still better than the auto v6 radiator. Denso 221-3137 should sit almost flush with the frame.

Regardless, you’ll need Gates #22120 or Napa 8791 lower radiator hose and a MT shroud #16711-07020. While the coolant drained, might as well change the thermostat to open sooner (170 vs oe 180 found on Tacoma):
    Toyota thermostat #90916-03107
    Toyota thermostat gasket #16325-62010

I built a 1/4” skid to protect the radiator.

Does anyone know if a full width front D60 can be centered under a Taco and use leaf springs?
