    Performance- bored .20 over, Doug Thorely Headers, Magnaflow Exhaust, and K&N cold air intake. Exterior- Trail Gear Solid Axle Swap, ARB compressor, high pinion 4.88 with ARB locker, 4.88 TRD Locker in the rear. Interior- 2 10inch JL W1 subs, Alpine MRX-V70 amp, Alpine type R SPR 17C 6x6 speaker in the back, Focal 165 VR with crossover tweeter up front, and Weather Tech floor mats.
    Who thinks toyota should give the option on the new production models coming standard with a solid axle?

    That be pretty awesome, but it wouldn't be to smart of a move for toyota cause most people buy a truck for work, or just cause they like trucks and never intend to take them offroad.

    yeah but solid axel is more for working purpose's. plus it would be an option like SR5 and TRD

    We would all love a real solid front axle, locking diffs, etc... but it will never happen. The best off-road vehicle Toyota builds here is the FJ Cruiser, and they are pulling the plug on it next year. So the chance of a truck with solid axles is very unlikely. Im sure the Rubicon is on thin ice too!
    Its too bad.

    Good point, sad the future in automotive is taking away from us truck guys.

    It'll never happen....

    Besides - it'd be a solid axle from the factory. It'd have all sorts of factory stupid stuff on it. You'd be changing shit anyway to make it more offroad worthy.

    If they were gonna do anything - they should follow what Jeep did with the Rubicon. Build a complete, solid, strong offroad rig with solid axles, selectable lockers, atlas transfer case (It's a dream right?) , lift, bigger tires, etc. all in one package.

    But, we can only dream. It'd cost a FORTUNE.
