With 19" up front What are you gonna do with the rear? That's the real weak link in these trucks

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I thought you wanted to solid axle your truck?

I want them both. But I'm leaning towards linked rear and the long travel front.

I had Solo motorsports install my DMZ SUA/, box my rear framerails, and modified there standard bed cage design so that I can maximize the amount of room in the bed. Paul and Bobby are awesome.

If I wanted a strict desert truck I would get there XLT kit for the front (with 4wd). I like that the track width increase is only 4.5". IMG_20160425_172654.jpg

I moved out to Salt Lake this past March. People out here don't really know what a LT truck is.. Jeepers say this "desert Suspension" doesn't belong in the mtns. I beg to differ.. TW_mineral_Basin.jpg

Gotta love how we can't all just enjoy being offroad together, right? Most of the cool Jeep dudes I've met hate Jeep guys for their elitism and lack of comraderie. They like us for our fanaticism and friendship.

    Meh.

Are you going to do the install or have Solo do it? Are you retaining 4wd? Also, are you going to cage the whole truck?

I would have my fabricator install it as well as build my 4 link for the rear.

    Yes I am retaining 4wd.

Yes I plan to do a cage not sure if exo cage or internal

People who say this just are not as open-minded and educated with the situation. This long travel goes anywhere. We will show them

Getting close to pulling the trigger on my kit. just curious how much people spent on install for front. i will be purchasing all necessary for the full 19". I know fenders will cost additional as well as some relocation for componets on the fenderwells. Also what did you do for your rear? and how much? is there anything you would do different

Most people with that kit or any big race kit like that spend up to and over 5K. Best bet for the rear is DMZ spring under pack for the 2nd gens. Unless you really take it out linking it is the best option but super costly and a big deal.

I had Solo do the DMZ SUA install and cage build and it was around $4400 (in 2013). I had brought them all my parts (Bypasses, bumpstops, DMZ SUA kit, Truck already had my bedsides mounted).

If I wanted a strict desert truck I would go with a full cage and linking for the rear. For what I do, the spring under is sufficient. I also, would worry about dragging the links on rocks if I wheeled and had a linked truck.

Yea, just the parts alone for the DMZ SUA kit total around $3900 (Shocks, bedsides, bump stops, SUA kit). If you have someone do the install tack on another $4K - 5K.
