I'm almost done with my first swap and install of the LT kit up front. The bushings that come with the kit appear to be energy susoenaion. For the LCA, there's a gap of about a quarter of an inch between the bushings and the frame. Didn't really think about it until I was cranking down to tighten one of the adjustment bolts and felt the metal bend a little.
I'm guessing there's supposed to be some metal spacers to go in there? Is it ok to have the bushings up against the frame? It seems like that's a recipe to have them fail real quick.

Also, are these oem size bushings and I could just use the white line ones I have when these wear out?

There should be a metal sleeve that goes in the bushings and makes contact with the frame at either end of the bushings. My kit had the gap between the bushings and the frame also. The bushings are from total chaos.
