SOLVED Color Matching for Radiant Red (3L5)

I have found that "no more drama" from behr @homedepo actually is very similar to the radiant red. I have a fender flare that needed to be painted and this 6$ can did the job

 

Hate to bump but l have 2008 Tacoma in Radiant Red 3L5 confirmed by sticker and vin. I have a question - the auto paint store is telling me that 3L5 Radiant Red is a tri coat with a base coat, mid coat, and clear. I just... don't see it. The same color name Radiant Red from GM and actually a few other brands is a tri coat pearl red but the Toyota 3L5 is just a nice deep red. The paint store is using a PPG lookup. Has anyone ordered an actual repaint / repair and seen the if it is truly a tri coat?

If you need enough to paint an entire body panel or vehicle, if they can't laser the paint on it and match it then go elsewhere.

 

Fair enough - they did say to bring it and get it scanned. I didn't have it with me that day and its a 100 mile RT to the paint store. Just wanted a sanity check from someone who has ordered a full paint kit not just a touchup bottle or can which are all single base with a clear and no midcoat.
