Save your money...they only make the intake louder...zero performance gains...stock is already a cold air intake

I had a Volant on my first truck, they sound good over 3k rpms but as stated earlier almost zero gains... Just buy a stock K&N replacement filter and you'll be good... Trust me save your money and throw it at another mod...

Don't know what you have on your truck, but as stated, throw your money at something else that is useful.

This^ I have the K&N on mine and it is the biggest POS money robber of all time doesnt do any thing for your truck, I would keep it stock and use the money to buy a muffler or something worth the while

Not much is going to add a noticeable increase in power on these trucks short of forced air induction.

I mean, he could maybe overbore or figure out a stroker kit, but let's be honest, OP is looking to spend K&N filter money, not custom machine shop money :p

a friend of mine puts an intake on everything he buys with a motor. it makes him happier than shit. it looks cool, sounds cool, and to him, makes more power.

I will never invest in that again, but im much more drab. . . .like eiorre

I don't know about stock. I run a supercharger. I put a AFE CAI on the S/C and I noticed an increase in power and MPGs.

I might have noticed maybe 1-2 degrees cooler on the highway. Nothing in the city. I believe the advantage comes from the good air filter and the ability for the S/C to suck more air, over stock intake. AFE is less turbulent and gives a better flow. I got all my numbers from logging down what my Scanguage gives me. (Intake temp, 0-60 times, and MPG). I also ran the numbers for MPG.
