I disagree with you on the "Toyota wasn't thinking", Why in the world would you want a body lift on top of an already lifted truck?? Sounds pretty pointless , Nice mall crawler:rolleyes::puke:

The suspension TSB replaces the US stock 3 leaf pack with a 4 leaf pack .

If you have 2 leafs and an overload , you have the US stock pack , 3 leafs and the overload is the TSB pack

Not sure why you think this is stupid- what other choice did they have?

Did you want a big bolt sticking up and catching on everything you put in your bed?

Or how bout a carriage bolt without the torx head, that would force you to remove the bolt from below the truck- which would be more inconvenient than just getting the proper tools BEFORE you start a job.

    Just sayin...

2 Senators from every state- so southern states produce as many senators as any other. Not to mention that the larger southern states (like Florida) produce more congressman than most states...

And your comment about the lack of scholars from the south is patently false as well...

Just cuz you'll never be a congressman or scholar doesnt mean that others aren't

So you'd rather they use something like a T7?

No thanks. I'll take what they chose to use.

And I love how (not just on this site) everyone hates on engineers because they interfere w/ the owner modifying their vehicle...which in most cases, involve the owner installing something either detrimental or of lesser quality than what they started with in the first place.
Mod at your own risk people, and dont get frustrated w/ the manufacturer.

Damn, after reading this thread I'm surprised the OP is still around, you guys sure gave him a lot of shit! I dislike body kits as much as the next guy but it's his truck and it sounds like a temporary means to an end.

Torx head bolts, while I see why they did it, were a pain when I first bought your Tacoma. I ended up buying an entire set of trox head sockets because nothing I've owned before has ever had them. Not a big deal, just something different. The tie downs I couldn't agree more, they were a bonehead move on Toyota's part, only having 2 d-rings in the back of the bed only. No other pickup only has 2 heavy tie downs and usually you want to secure things to the front of the bed, not the back.

OP, post pics once you're done with the SAS!!

What size are the ones in the bed? I'd like to just buy the one torx driver I need to add 4 more d-rings to the front and middle of the bed using the existing bolts. Already have extra d-rings just sittin around............

    Sorry dude I completely disagree:
    1. Everything in Toyota is very simple to do I had American cars an believe that is a nightmare
    2. The bed is meant to hold a lot of weight so it needs to have big bolts
    3. You don't go to Lowes to by tools for your car you go to auto zone or other auto parts
    4. There is tie that you can put on the rail an if you need two more just by them and put them close to the cab.
    5. Research more before modifying your truck you can do damage if you put some cheap stuff in it.

tacomabuzz buy a real truck before you call me a mall crawler, ive seen more mud in my truck then you ever will in that little 4x2 not to mention i dont even live within an hour of a mall, and tacotabe evidently you dont know how to read, i said im not downing the whole south just where im from, i came from a small town of farmers, we dont care to much for being smart just living life and enjoying the good things like family and friends and hunting and fishing, and i may not be a congressmen but i dont really give a crap im gonna be a vet one day and that enough for me. it sure as hell seems like alot of you sit behind your computers just thrashing people cause you havent got anything better to do, i was simply venting and puting out my opinion, grow the hell up
