Nice truck man. The bed work is awesome. Glad to see my wheels are catching on. Take it easy.

Imsikotic - The picture of your truck is the first picture I saw of a Tacoma with those rims. I wanted black rims but not completely black, wanted something to break it up and when I saw your truck I immediately knew that's what I wanted. So thank you very much!

Fototacoma - that box is just extra storage that is lockable. Under the plywood edges there is a 2x2 frame and the frame is laying on top of the wheel well and the edge in the bed that goes front to back. The platform is pretty much 1 3/4 higher then the wheel wells due to the 2x2 underneath. That gives a good hight of storage underneath and still plenty of room to move around on top.

I didn't want to have a platform closing up the whole bed. The way I made it I can sit on the edge of the platform and easily take my shoes off without having to do it while laying down.

Well man, I have to say for bein a newbie; uh...you F-in done good....or should I say ya even inspire me. Your truck is perfect! yes, if I had the budget, I would add gears, lockers and skidplates, but your truck is what i want mine to look like. It would be easy for me to shun you a little on the big 17" rims, but ya darn sure wrapped em with the right rubber man. You say that your not an extreme wheeler, but i tell ya from what I can see, thats an extreme truck!!!! No Doubt.

Hey dude I'm in Hayward too!

Awesome looking truck from the outside and the interior is sweet. You could almost charge for a custom bed set up like that. I'll be looking for your truck around town.

Thanks guys! I am glad you all like it. I'll update whenever I change something but for now it will probably have to wait a while to save up some money first...

tinker troy - wow, you ended up far away from home. Do you ever come back to the bay area?

Ptowntaco - Thanks man. What are Bay Area mod days? Would be cool to meet some other people who are also into Tacomas and see their setups.

Robster49 - I am sure you will see me around one day. I live in downtown and am driving my truck every day now. In summer I usually take my Harley to work and have the truck parked at my place during the day. Say hi when you see me. Nice to meet some people from this forum.

I got tired of seeing how my driver seat was getting more and more dirty so I ordered some seat covers I put on last week. What a pain to get them on. The problem is getting that tube to fit between the bottom part and back rest... I got the passenger seat perfect but have to work on stuffing the tube deeper in the driver seat:

It's a Leer 100R with optional Windoors, removable front window, roof rack rails, carpet liner and cargo net. So far I have been very happy with it.

By any chance, did you remove your seats to do the install? I found that I could get the covers on with them in the truck, but it was a major PITA. Ultimately, I took my seats out and got a very nice and tight fit.
