    Thanks again guys!

Jacob Wood - I got it from Campway's. Although I love how it looks on the truck I am having some issues with Leer that are still not solved. Read here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...wners-buyers-having-problems-like-i-have.html

When I was at Campway's Thursday there was another customer complaining big time that he was waiting already for two months now for his cap to arrive.
Mine took 7 weeks to get after placing the order.
After a couple days one of the windoor shock mounts broke (rivets). It took 3 weeks for a replacement windoor to arrive but that was a completely wrong window. Now I got told that it will take at least another month before they will have another one.

Although I love the way the shell looks and it seems built nicely I can not stand how horrible their customer service is. What if I would have a broken window and I have to wait almost two months to get a replacement? Therefore I personally would not buy from Leer again but would look into Snugtop and ARE.

I don't live in it, my wife had kicked me out already 4 months before I built this :D.

Next week I am taking the truck for a camping trip to Yosemite National Park. Let's hope the weather is not too bad. I don't care about snow or cold, as long as it doesn't rain all weekend...

Man, that is such a clean, well thought out setup. Love what you've done there. Making me want to get a shell and build up a home away from home like that but I only have a prerunner so it wouldn't take me quite as far away, lol. Hell, still makes me want one. Damn nice work. Better than what you could have paid to have someone else do & cheaper that way too & exactly how you want it. Best use of a shell award fo sho, IMO! Rep for innovation & DIY ambition.

Very stupid ??...how come the car battery has to be connected to the other battery? does it prevent it from draining out fast?

The batteries are connected so when the engine is running both batteries are getting charged, when the engine is off they are not connected anymore because of the relay. This way I can drain the battery in the bed without having to worry about having a dead car battery the next morning.

Hey boss, honestly I dont have a tacoma. I have a 91 F-150 single cab long bed. And you have hit on the head exactly what I want to do in my camper shell setup. You have been extremely detailed in your information about this build but I just need to know a few more details:

    - Where did you get the relays...if so can I get a phone number and a description of the relay so I may purchase a replica.
    - What gauge wire did you use for the small wire coming off the relay as your ignition side. And what was your determining factor as to why you ran it to your trailer ignition and not your regular ignition.
-And finally have you had to modify or have you experienced any alternator issues with the charging of a second deep cell battery when its low or when you run it dead.

Thank you very very much for your time and quality of guide and craftsmanship. Its guys like you dedicated to quality that make people want to continue building better more sophisticated projects. Thank you very much.

And I forgot to ask what this was and its purpose, where did you get it and if you dont mind how much it and the relays were:
