Whatever it is, after 50 years, why haven't they got this figured out?

Having spent almost 40 years in high volume production, I can assure you that it all comes down to money. Apparently, Toyota has calculated that the relatively small number of frames they have to replace (believe it or not) does not exceed the cost of the fix.

you guys must be correct - but hard to believe millions of dollars on frames every eight years or so is of no consequence . I'm happy that they do replace them - I had two - a 2000 and a 2008. When I had the 2008 done the whole back area of the dealership was stacked with frames .

Possibly/probably. I understand the actuarial principle, but the hit to your reputation when you start to cut corners can't help but diminish the prestige of your brand.

Had mine Woolwaxed last year and this month. Doesn't seem to attract junk

Yes but if the vehicle was from a rust state initially it should qualify. My friend moved from MA to NC and went through this with hers

This is exactly what I do as well, while it can be a PIA it's worth it to me.
I also have this attachment. It's 4 years old and still works great, no issue.

I bought an extension wand also, but Amazon removed it from the website for whatever reason.

I checked the link out - curious - do you use it with a pressure washer ? I don't have one - would it work with a hose ? Thanks for any reply

I do use my pressure washer with it. You could probably get it to work with a garden hose but you’re gonna need the attachment on the end of power washer gun. It looks like an air chuck. A garden hose won’t have the same power but I’d imagine it will still work somewhat. I’m sure others have tried it.

I'm in Michigan and have been using CRC since i got my truck (this is the 2nd year) I have been very happy with how well it works, coated everything metal underneath each fall before winter. Takes me about 4 cans to do it all

I have a Generac I bought from Home Depot 10-12 years years ago. I’ve done minimal maintenance to it and I really do mean the bare minimum and it still runs.
