Hi, I recently upgraded my suspension, I am running King 2.5’s with maxtrac 4in Spindle and bajakits boxed UCA. Everytime I make a turn , it feels like something is shifting up and done and moving around loosely in the suspension up front. I’ve had an alignment done, and everything retorqued and still feel it. Any guesses on what it could be?

Can you maybe clarify the bold text in the quote above. Are there any coinciding noises? Turning both directions or in only one? Only thing I can say now is double check all of you links and maybe check your steering.

Cycle steering full range lock to lock and see if the UCA uniball housing is hitting the spindle. You may have to take a flap disc to the spindle shoulder.

It just sounds like metal shifting around and it’s whenever I take a turn both directions...

I would be looking over all those brand new parts for any sign of contact/rubbing, like the coil hitting the upper control arm. Odds are something is making contact assuming everything is torqued to spec

I’ve looked through everything and haven’t seen any sign of rubbing or wear at all

This is when I cranked the wheel all the way and I noticed this rubbing mark on the housing, possibly this can be the cause of that shifting sound? Do I need a spacer or like the person above said shave that corner down??

Sounds as if it could be the uniball but am I correct that they are new? If not they need to be looked at.

The correct way to do this is to remove the spring and nitrogen form your shock and cycle the suspension and make sure you understand what is taking place. When mixing brands (UCA and spindle or anything bajakits) its really the only way to know what's taking place.
If it turns out the up travel is too much for the uniball geometry as defined by the UCA you can raise your bump stop to limit up travel slightly.

Did it do this immediately upon install or after you got some miles on it?

A few miles on it, I didn’t notice it at first. The spindle is an extended 4inch spindle which is giving me a majority of my lift. Do you think the geometry could be off because of the spindle being a large spindle therefore changing the angle of the UCA which could be leading me to this issue?

    Yes
Baja kits has previously had an issue with their uniball cups and this sounds eerily familiar. You should call them.
