I've only seen a couple posts about this stereo that is easy to install, as a nice plug and play. Has anyone tried it out? Its a 100 bucks off on Amazon right now. Its tempting but the 5 reviews are mixed and I cannot find anything out if they had any issues. Right now its 377 on Amazon.

Anything helps. Oh if you know of another style let me know please.

I personally wouldn't. The reviews don't convince me and it just seems too inexpensive for what it is offering.
I got a Kenwood unit from Crutchfield in my taco. They will set you up with everything you need for plug n play with all of the radios they sell. Have used them now for three different car installs.

Red flag immediately in description when it says it will fit 05-12. 2012 dash/interior changed. For the price it is not worth it. I bought a Pioneer 5-6 years ago and put in mine. I bought by harness and what not from Taco Tunes (note they have had bad reviews lately). They had videos on website on how to install. Everything was plug and play.

Pick you out a name brand with a better reputation.

I have a 2009 Tacoma so I am sure it will fit. However, upon reading the reviews it seems that the software doesn't align well. Im looking for something that has android auto but I don't want to break the bank or do all the splicing and wiring. Thanks for the advice.

Listen to these guys, and go through Crutchfield. Not the cheapest place to buy from, but the knowledge base alone makes it worth it, especially if you're doing the install. With a harness adapter, you can do the whole install without splicing into the factory harness, and retain the steering wheel controls (if you have them).

Y'all are awesome. I didn't even know about crutchfield, but I checked them out. Holy cow. Thanks everyone, I'm going with your recommendation. I actually save 100 bucks vs this set up. I'll post pics when I order and install it.

3" front, 2" rear plus helper springs. Plow frame. New frame from toyota. New wheel bearings, upper ball joints, universal joints, headlights. rattle can paint job on the grill, tail gate and rims.
I couldn't find anything on clutchfield that played cd/dvd, am/fm, sd card plus navigation and bluetooth, wi fi and mirroring with android 8.0 and had the trim with it for anywhere near $400 if at all. Its advertised plug and play.

Plus back up camera and usb. 3 stars on Amazon and seller on ebay has 90% positive feedback. With ebay you can return for full refund. Not sure about Amazon return policy.

good luck. You are braver than I am. Amazon reviews look less than stellar.

Just saying you aren't getting the same thing on crutchfield for a better price or even close. Dont think I could find one there that would mirror your phone, play dvd/cd and am/fm for much under $1000 and even then it was out of stock and that's just for the head unit. Alot of the reviews on Amazon were unfair. Like complaining the gps navigation doesnt work without an internet connection.

Yes, it is more than the Songee. When it comes to electronics, you get what you pay for. I would consider the equivalent of buying a soundbar in place of home theater amp/speaker setup. If you buy the songee let us know how it works out.

Yea its twice as much and you still need the trim and maybe a wire harness adapter.
Will do but I'm not likely to spend even $400 on any head unit.
Sound bar still works and is an upgrade even though it's not a complete home theater system.

Would someone measure and let me know length, height and depth of the cubby space of a single/double din trim kit? I'm thinking of getting a single din head unit and I'd like to know if there's enough room to slide a cb radio in the cubby space. I contacted crutchfield but they were unable to provide me with anything more then a guess.

@Blondie583 oof...I have a single din hu and the metra kit I used has a little pocket under the radio. Maybe an inch tall. With some creative juices flowing, a small cb might fit. Depth should be ok aside from a 90°coax connector for the antenna.
I'll get a pic and post it later.
