If any of you have one of these model numbers (KDF-42WE655, KDF-50WE655, KDF-55WF655, KDF-60WF655, KDF-55XS955, KDF-60XS955, KF-42WE620, and KF-50WE620) and having blue dot or star problems on your screen, you need to get intouch with Sony by the end of the year.

Until Dec 31, Sony is reembursing/fixing this problem, even if your warrenty has expired. The estimated cost for this repair is between $800-$1400. If you haven't paid to have this repaired yet, Sony will probably offer to sell you a brand new flat panel tv at a serious discount. The current tv I have is a 42" and I am upgrading to a 50" for less than third of it's original cost.

Even if you do not have this issue with one of these TV's, they did not do anything to verify my issue. The only requirement was that I send them the decal off the back of the TV that has the model and serial #'s on it, so it cannot be repaired under warrenty later on.

    Here's the link.

That is great to know Sony will stand up for their tvs. I bought my Sony LCD last year.

Mine doesn't have this issue & is not one of these models, but thanks for the info.
