So today I changed the fiances oil and noticed it was coming out thick...

No knocks or noises on the engine but after inspection of the oil and running it through a magnetic strainer she has shavings coming out.

So I got tell her the bad news and tell her I can't say it is going to blow up tomorrow or next year but it is eventually going to lay down and the car is just not worth fixing.

It is a 2000 ford taurus with 298, + on it. Amazed it lasted as long as it has.

So we were talking and she has decent credit and should be able to get her payments where she wants 350 a month, with 5k down.

She either wants a mid size car or an SUV.

For the SUV I was telling her about a 4runner or Sequoa since we do have our daughter. And easy to get in and out of.

But on the car I am at a lost.

What suggestions do you all have.

For a midsize, the Venza might be worth looking into; it's pretty classy for the price, yet very practical. As for mid-size cars, they are all pretty much a dime a dozen, just don't buy domestic lol.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
The big Mazda suvs are really nice too.

If you can find a decent used one, the new body style Grand Cherokees are really nice

Yeah we are leaning more to the suv side. She said she liked the altima's. Doesn't want another ford and no chevys. I will disown and so will parents lol. But she was saying she wanted a mid size suv . But I really really like the sequoia.
