    Don't know about that.
I did not want to pay someone else to install the unit for me. It's advertised as a plug and play system ans so far it is as advertised. I wanted to do the job myself and my only complant is I'm not as young as I use to be.
Hang on guys, one day you'll know what I mean.

    Best-

Finished today. Sound is really really good. There's no comparsion to the cheap factory speakers. AMP and Sub woofer really makes a difference. Overall I'm pleased.

    Yes.

The OEM Plus is a decent system but you are paying extra for OEM integration and it is more simplified for people to install. Still nothing wrong with it, but yeah for $1400 you could go a lot of different directions.

If the oem radio is anything like the 2015s its the radio thats the problem. I have the stock doors and when i put my single din jvc in it brought them to life. Non jbl aswell. I still want to upgrade them, but waaaaay better than before

I'm just finishing up a stereo upgrade (keeping stock head unit, Alpine SPR-60c 6.5 components for front doors, Alpine SPR-60 6.5 coaxial for rear doors, Alpine PDX-V9 and LC7i). Had a few "issues", but should be done Sat. night. This might need to go under the proctology area :), but anyone that has installed a system put something over the top of the door speakers to "shed" water to the left or right and off the cone and crossover electronics. I haven't in the past and I would think that not much water should get down into the door panel if the windows were up, but curious.....

Wow, $1500 for OEM Plus? I was worried that the $700-800 more for jbl was too pricey. I too am trying to figure out if the jbl is worth it. I just don't want some third party kid installing my sound system and do a sloppy job, not to mention I can have the sub and amp perfectly hidden.

I'm not audiophile either but all I want is clear sound and LOUD when I want it to be. Like I want to be able to open my doors when playing volleyball and we can all easily enjoy the music without it being a faint noise. And of course some nice bass will be nice too.

I debating on the technology and premium package with JBL. While the damn thing cost over $3000 more, I think the only desired components I will really enjoy are the moonroof, jbl, and I guess heated seats like 4 months out of the year...so I'm hoping the audio is really worth it, lol.

Here is a link to jbl site describing its premium sound system:

I have the jbl in my 16. I think it sounds great. I have never done a crazy stereo upgrade in the past. It has always been just a new head unit or new speakers. All that being said the bass in the jbl sounds great and I really think it was worth the money but that's just me. A more sophisticated person may say that the system sucks.
