    Yep. Very true.

After seeing the windshield claim on my 4R being over $900, I said I’d just pay cash for the next one. My tundra windshield was either $200 or $250 cash. Rather pay a small premium out of pocket versus have my insurance rates go up.

Its 1.5 acres out of a 13 acre field that we're building a house on. It's right on the outskirts of Anderson (between Anderson and Pendleton). At one time it had cows on it, then it was sowed with fescue and used for hay.

I actually used a tractor and ran a bush hog over it a couple weeks ago to mark off our lot from the rest of the area. I couldn't get the terraces too well just because of how the mower was set, and I didn't want to adjust it too much cause I'm not the only one using it currently.

I read all the fine print on all the stuff I have insured. It's rare that people actually know what is in their insurance or what claims cause premiums to raise. We have a willfully ignorant society that just takes "your word for it".

we'll be right on a county road.. power and water run down it, and we're getting the septic tank permit finalized next week. I love it out here.. its nice and quiet, no one really messes with you. Just up the way from us will be my a parents, who have a gorgeous view of the mountains from their backyard.

crossing my fingers for StarLink in the near future.

For now, there's a cable internet company that is.. well, its there. They've just recently been purchased by Vyve Broadband and are making upgrades to their network. They should have something comparable to what I have currently by the time I move. And then there's ATT which I'd rather not deal with.

Eagle, Northland, and and Vyve rebranding themselves all under the Vyve name is one of the funniest things I've seen recently. We had Northland briefly before West Carolina rolled through with fiber, and they weren't bad, but they just don't have the infrastructure to compete with WCTel, and they made some bone headed customer service moves with us.

Maybe it will be a good move for them. Time will tell.

I've Northland-Vyve currently. No issues other than the installer screwing it up and them taking 2 weeks to figure it out. If someone came through with fiber for our area, I'd jump on it quick fast and in a hurry.
