That sounds more realistic- and well funded.

The savings on gas, will likely be offset by flight costs.

Remember- once we are there- only need food and water- then we just head out to the desert!

Maybe we start in San Diego- then wheel and drive back to SC?

Since @dan0mite and I both have family in SD- we can ship trucks there, fly in. Thwn maybe have local SD TW members @ Stone Brewing, maybe start our journey in Anza Borrego, then to Salton Sea, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Vegas, UT, CO, etc...?

    :notsure:

Not if you ship your truck.

We can stop at Costco, etc. not a huge deal.

    Remember-

Shipping the truck from SC to San Diego appx $1k or so.
One way Flight to San Diego appx $350 or so.

After that the only expense is food, water, gas, supplies and camping/lodging.

 I would like as many people to come as possible.

Everyone will have different time off requirements. This is why I am thinking we start in SD. Some can take their time otw back to South Carolina, as needed.

    Check The Build Thread
I think a loop, as @Old School suggested, for those who want to drive roundtrip would be ideal. See more of the country and hit different places.

What are everybody's "must see" and "need to wheel" spots across the country? Maybe once we get some ideas of what to see and where to go, we can begin route planning.

I'll post this question in the OP in case we get a few more interested...
