Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce Tacoma World to my company Southern Style OffRoad. We've been in business since 2012 and are located down here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I've been a life long toyota fan and what started out as a simple hobby under my car port has turned into my full time job with 7 other poor souls on this journey with me.

We first broke ground on creating products for the Lexus GX470 because, well, my wife wanted a nice suv and I wanted a legitimate off road machine. Little did I know at the time that despite it sharing the same frame and suspension as the 4runner/FJ family, there were absolutely no other aftermarket goodies as far as bumpers, sliders, roof racks, etc. Naturally, as a computer programmer nerd at the time, I decided I'd teach myself how to weld and make my own. Fast forward to today and our GX has undergone quite the transformation to our flagship offroad she-beast. It features Total Chaos/Radflo long travel up front, custom Radflo long travel in the rear, and our most recent bumper and rock slider designs. We also had to get custom fenders molded in to keep her looking prim and proper, because it is, after all, my wife's daily driver.

Here's the GX as it sits today. This picture was taken at the Lone Star Jamboree where we took first place in their annual obstacle course.

Moving on, it became apparent to me that if I was serious about making this my full time gig, I'd have to jump in with both feet. So, I hopped on the first Trail edition 4Runner I could get my hands on and began the process all over again. The 2014+ 4Runner simply begged for me to create a simple yet elegant winch platform that could accommodate nearly every winch on the market and also give you the amenities you'd expect from full size bumpers, like protective stingers, flush mounted light bars, and heavy duty 3/4" tow hooks to get you unstuck whatever the situation. With this design criteria in mind, the Slimline Hybrid was born:
    (southernstylespeed)12120456_564665477019712_575258118_n.jpg

These were introduced in late 2014 and have been wildly successful for us. With nearly 400 sold in less than 2 years, these bumpers have been all over the world and come back to tell the tale. They're constructed of all 3/8" and 3/16" structural steel for the frame mounting and winch plate, while we keep it light with an 1/8" face plate to reduce the weight down to about 75lbs depending on options. This also led to us creating the first fully modular 5th gen 4runner rear bumper that features bolt on side ladders, rotopax mounts, dual jerry can holders, tire carrers etc.

Moving on, when the 2016 Tacoma was released, I just knew I'd be making a slimline hybrid for it and a very gracious member here on the board @LostSherpa allowed us to have his truck to prototype the first slimline hybrid for the new style Tacoma. We followed the same successful recipe as we did on the 4Runner slimline using heavier gauge steel for the bits you'd expect to be heavy but keeping the weight down using lighter gauge material where it wasnt as necessary. The design of the slimline hybrid is something I like to call OEM+, where if you werent very knowledgable on the Tacoma or 4Runner you might think this was the TRD version direct from the factory. We are truly pleased to introduce our latest labor of love to Tacoma World:

With all that said, it's a pleasure to start this product line and its been a pleasure interacting with the few members I've spoken to already from a previous thread. Please dont hestitate to ask any questions here directly on the forums or by calling our shop from 9-5 CST M-F at (225) 726-7979.

You can also browse our website at http://www.southernstyleoffroad.com or hit us up on facebook or instagram. The Tacoma bumper with its available options is listed here and has introductory pricing for at least the rest of July: http://www.southernstyleoffroad.com/product/2016-tacoma-slimline-hybrid-bumper/

    Thanks ya'll!

This is awesome, seriously considering getting one. Some questions:
    - Any cutting required?
    - Is it compatible with the stock skid plate?
    - Any pictures of black on a black truck?
    - Any pics of the install process?

I really want this its really nice. Lots of $$$ though. Any chance of getting more detailed pictures? If I'm dropping potentially over $1,000 it would help!

I wonder how amazing this would look with the BAMF grille i have ordered...

Also, I assume its considered 'custom' if I don't want the winch hole?

We've installed a superwinch tiger shark and also the smittybilt x20 series without having to do a crazy solenoid relocate. Theres a lot of room in there, so it should accept pretty much any 9k-10k winch on the market.
I'll be releasing some installation instructions soon, so you'll be able to see all the tips and tricks for an easy install.

We can do that. It'll just be a custom cut which just takes a little more time than the stocked faces we have on hand.

Yes, some cutting is required and yes its compatible with the oem skid. Sorry, no black on black trucks just yet, but I do have pics that'll be in the install instructions. I like to provide a lot of pictures in the instructions so you'll see it all.

We will do a groupbuy, just havent worked out the details yet. What sort of incentives would be best received? Winch package deal? discounted shipping? Also, I read your private message @bodean, and I'll get back to you. Didnt want you to think i was ignoring you.

Yes we have a shop located in Baton Rouge where we do installs and have customers pick up their purchases if they choose.

Custom in a sense that we dont have any faces without a winch hole right now. It'll just have to be in the next batch of material to be cut and bent. No extra charge, just extra time.

Seems there are a ton of people/companies selling product on TW. It seems you sell some stuff on here and if you are legit and take care of your customers eventually you will become a vendor.
