Is the winch access hole really needed? What are the advantages of not having it?

My slimline bumper showed up today, 12 weeks exactly from the order day. The quality of the manufacturing looks worth the wait. Now I need to build up my nerve to cut my truck.

Yes, powder coated, access holes, no hoop, & no light cut out. I agree, considering all the business TW sent their way they are doing a good job getting the product out. I received 3 update emails and when I called they answered all my ? promptly.

No it's not really needed. You can always pop your hood and reach down to access the clutch lever or solenoid.

Trying to find info on what people are using to cut the bumper. I have a Dremel 3000, what blade should I use?

Worked fine for me for cutting the plastic bumper...I actually didn't cut all the way through at first, I traced out a line to make sure I cut straight. Where a mask and also eye protection it helps. Good luck!

Very good looking. How did you color match the cable window plate? Also, advantages to useing that plate instead of the rollers?

I bought the fairlead already anodized in blue since I wanted a new one. It's not a perfect match but not bad either. The hawse style fairlead is better for synthetic winch rope because the rope can get caught up in the rollers at the corner.

Thankfully I didn’t get mine powder coated. Fed ex sucks around here. It’s nothing a hammer, welder, and grinder can’t fix!

Almost ready to install!! From bare metal to primer to silver sky color matched base coat clear coat.

I didn’t receive any instructions with my bumper. Is there any even out there? Post a link if there is. Thanks!

Finished installing my @SouthernStyleOffRoad slimline hybrid bumper, winch, and light bar. I ordered it during the fall groupbuy and finally had a chance to take some photos after getting it installed. Amazing product. I love how it came out.

See here for a detailed write-up that I did and more photos.

I added a 2 inch receiver hitch to carry mountain bikes and other small stuff. Hopefully I will bolt it up this weekend.

Thanks again for the great customer service SSO.

I used raptor upol truck bed liner for the outside of the bumper.
