    well I'm also trying to see if I can get it to 1.25" of drop instead of 1". And then get 2" blocks for the back. Later I'm going to get the SS coils (which is 1.75" drop totaling to 3" of drop up front and add in the 4x4 leaf pack which is also 1.75" drop totaling to 3.75" of drop). This is pretty much similar to Kelsons drop (practically, just excluding the DJM up front).

    well found out your supposed to lift the uca either an 1"/1.25" unless you want camber issues.

    yup, it said it on CT. the original person to do it measured 1" from the OE uca holes and drilled in new ones. He said that an 90 degree drill is ideal (he didn't get to use one though). Drill in 8 holes ea. 1" above the OE uca holes, there's enough room. I am going to see about the 1.25" drop (if I can make it work or not).

    Here my concern, by drilling new holes will that weaken any part of the suspension????? if not im gonna drill the holes

    "ok ive had a few pm's asking about my $20 or less ghetto spacer setup....heres a pic .....does it work ...yes ...is it ghetto...yes ....does it cost WAY less then any other spacer kit ....yes ....ive had these on for almost 5yrs...and 25k miles never re tightened still working like lil $20 champs and the whole time bagged this is good for 1" ...and use grade 8 hardware or better waytogo_82a2dcfcbf91b28330a7f12007d2d5959649daa3.gif

    what it takes
    4 bolts 1" longer then you stock spindle bolts
    4 nuts 1 size larger then the bolts (to just slide around the new bolts w/o play but not threaded on )
    8 washers the size for the spindle bolts (one on the top and bottom of the nut/spacer)

    *********NOTE i also raised my upper arms up 1" to compensate for the spacers........ very easy to do just a pain in the ass to get to but drill 8 new holes 1" higher theres plenty of room on the stock control arm mounts to do this a 90 degree drill would be ideal ...i didnt have that option tho so i man handled it with a regular 3/8 drill" - from CT member InTheBlood

    this is straight from the originators mouth. so I'm guessing it won't.

    :mad: this is pissing me off, although a cheap way of getting a drop, it's getting fucking confusing.

    it's going to be a long time until that happens. I was thinking about the C2C spacer, and I don't think you had to do that with the uca either, nor with the one that was being provided by that one guy (the one that made the 1.25" spacer), he said nothing about having to raise your uca at all.

    I am going to wait on this for a while until the facts are solid. Rather than waste money now, and learn later, lol hell by then I would already have enough to do it in one shot with the kits.

    did, he was the one who told me that I needed to raise the uca. Phil said his space didn't need it. In The Blood is also bagged, so keep that in mind. The rest of us are static. I already picked up some 4x4 leafs which is cool, now saving up for the front spacer install (looking into the cutting coils also), already have some 2" angled lowering blocks (this is just for mock up, getting some angled beefy blocks when I get the cash).

    ahhh, so those with OE suspension don't. I think those that were mainly using the spacer kit were the ones with OE suspension w/o the DJM drop kit. I know someone on CT had the other spacers (the 1.25" ones) but swapped it out due to obtaining the DJM kit. Think it makes sense. There was also someone else on CT that added in the SS Coils and spacer kit up front only and no problems/mention about camber issues.

    ok im not too sure your going to be able to get your camber in spec. the most you probably can go up front would be a solid 2" maybe 2.5" on stock arms. the 1.25" spacer in front should be fine, though. 3" will prob be a little too much, but it shouldn't be too bad.

    one of my friends XRunners is dropped around 2ish" out front (SS cut coil), so that would equate to around at least a 3" drop for us, and he is way outta spec.

    I'm going to be running 18's for the moment (I know getting 20's right now isn't going to happen yet), will be going with 245/45's or 235/45's whichever I get my hands on really. did you have any serious camber on yours? if so by how much? I am hoping that I won't have too much complication with the front when I go for my 3" total drop. I'm not worried about the back drop, easy.

    From what I hear, it's one complete turn of the coil for 1" and 1/2 a turn of the coil for 0.5" of drop. Worse comes to worse (meaning I can't get my hands on the SS Coils), I'm going to chop off what I think is about 1.75" from either my OE springs or just nab me the 4x4 coils and see what I need to do to get 1.75" of drop from the coils, then see how it goes from there.


    sorry can't find the pics, but I think his user name was blackedout something. I know he has a blacked out 2nd gen though.

    according to the guy that did the cheap version spacer said he did this to his Taco for quite sometime with no problems since he did it. Runs like a champ even to this day and that guy is bagged. I'm assuming that since he's putting more stress on his arms (the constant moving fully up/down at times v. static drops which don't use full motion of the arms), what's a simple static drop going to do if I have to end up doing that to fix the camber issue.
