I’m looking for the mystery person who has actually broken a shock due to a spacer-type lift. TW has 167k+ members so there has to be at least one person out there since so many people repeat the same story on here.

I’m not looking for your friend’s uncle’s sister’s cousin’s aunt’ best friend who knew a guy that says he knew a guy that had issues. We have all heard THAT story.

Please post YOUR experience with a spacer lift, NOT your opinion based on what you’ve read on the internet.

Recommend adding spacer / cut coil lowering to the options.

Not PC to only go one way.

MilkTeacoma, who's been banned has a 3rd gen that he did a spacer lift on and broke the lower shaft of his stock front Bilstein damper. I think he deleted all the pics of it though.

I had Revtek spacers on my first gen Tundra 11 years ago. They suck donkey dick. Bent the bottom of the shock (as you've see in in pix above). Replaced with 5100's and never had another problem.

I agree, but it’s a topic that gets brought up in other threads DAILY. I’m just curious how many people have actually had issues compared to the ones who are just mimicking what they’ve heard other people say. :gossip:

Well...there's some math involved that's fairly easy to understand. Hence why so many "mimic" what other's have said...because it's true.

How hard were you off-roading your truck when you bent your shock? Have you ever broken any other parts without the spacers installed?

The tundra was my grocery getter and tow pig. The only offroad it sees is dirt getting to staging areas.
