I received my front 3" spacers for my 08 tacoma and measuring them they only measure to be 1.75". Does this seem right for a 3" lift? Or is there something i'm missing. Any help is grateful as I want to install in the morning.

Think angles. 3" is the overall height, but the coilover is not attached at the end of the lower control arm. A small lift at the attachment point equates to a more substantial difference at the end of the arm.

thanks makes sense. The lift is now installed, I'll have pics up soon. I got 3.5"s out of it.

Do you wheel? If so, and you can afford it, go for springs.

I'm in the Park and Kingsley area. I ordered mine yesterday but it won't be in till Thursday. Do you still have your stock tires on it? I want to see how it looks. BTW, I went with a Toytec lift. Spacers with a long AAL. I will probably go with something bigger in the future but right now I want to start small and see how it goes...Its only $220.

cold air intake, step bars, custom grill, 3in lift,12 in audiobahn sub, 285/75/16 procomp tires, 20% tint,
the lift you will get from the spacer is double the size of the spacer because it preloads the springs

Its double because of the geometry of the "A" arms. The spring is half the distance to the spindle, thus a spacer is going to give 2x's the lift as it is thick, i.e. 1" spacer = 2" lift, and so on. Any lift will yeild the same results regardless if its a spacer, coil over, block of wood, etc. unless the shock is relocated.
    Exactly what mjp2 said.
