speedometer calibration

I'm going to be lifting my truck and putting larger tires on. What do you think of this product? has anyone ever used it?

it seems pretty straight forward.

I also plan on getting the scan gauge II to monitor other stuff, but i'd like to keep my speedometer and odometer correct.

 

Not sure I would want to spend $240+ to have a correct speedo/odometer. Scan gauge can do that for you, and a whole lot more for cheaper.
Would be interested to hear if this product actually works, and I have not heard of anybody actually using one of these yet.

 

I didn't know scan gauge did that. Do you mean it tells you the speed or actually recalibrates it?

 

To me it' s worth the money to have an adapter installed in the speedo cable so the odometer remains accurate

 

But with larger tires your odo actually shows less miles which I see as a benefit. The speedo is a bigger concern to me because it reads slow and might mislead you into thinking you're not speeding when you actually are.
