    Yes 33T should be good for you.

    You can probably just swap the plastic gears on the metal shaft. I believe they are just pressed on. Of course you need a new plastic gear now...

    I did mine today. 33t was spot on!!! I had a brain fart moment first. Pulled the old one out, compared the two. Put the new on in and went for a drive. It was still off. No difference. Got back home and was going to check the old one and recount the teeth. Then I noticed it was the new one!! I put the old one back in. Idiot. Swapped the out, for real this time, and it was dead on! Thank for all the info in this thread. Never knew this could be done.

    Where'd you get your gear? Mine was the wrong part. The shaft was too short!I'm thinking that instead of just topping off my gear oil I'll just change it since I'll have had to crack it three times lol

    A74F17F4-1DE4-49F4-A062-861BAD1624F7.jpgTrdshop.com also shows the part number for the 33T gear. I ordered this a couple weeks ago. It was back ordered for 2 weeks. Got it today.

    i have the same issue going on.
    can you tell me what gear size you got to replace the existing? my stock wheel size was 15. i'm running 265 70r16

    I put the 33T gear in mine and it works reasonably well with 33" tires and 4.88 gears on a MT. Speedo reads about 7% fast at this point, but since there's no 34 or 35T gear, there's not much to be done about it short of installing a Dakota Digital.
