Well I might as well restart this build thread since stuff is happening again. Here is the front torn down to get ready for the new bumper.

Awesome truck. What bumper do you have going on there?

How did you decide on the color of your SCS F5s? I'm stuck between gunmetal and bronze also for a Jade Mica truck.

Thank you! I have a relentless fab bumper going on hopefully tonight.

I thought the gunmetal would look good and I had painted some other Chrome bits on the truck with ruatoleum gunmetal and liked that. But that bronze does look really good too and would look great I think.

Thank you, are you having a look at the one in Oroville? Just make sure to check the frame, preferably with a ball peen hammer to make sure it isn't sitting from the inside out. Good luck post pics if you get it.

Picked her up today! A few rattles, and runs a little cold but I should be getting it all worked out. If I really needed to, I'm sure I could sell it for a bit more than I paid for it. Frame is free of rust other than usual light surface stuff around the rear.

did you use any axle shims or a carrier drop after installing the leaf packs? I've got some pretty good vibrations going on around 20mph.. About to pull the $70 trigger on a carrier bearing drop but figured I should get a second opinion before hand.

I used 3 degree axle shims, no vibes here!

You can buy a handful of washers and try that instead of dropping $70

You menioned that you had installed axle shims on your truck. Can you give me some info? After my AP expo leaf install I have driveline shutter. Thanks.

Yup, I certainly did. I got 3 degree shims on the suggestions I received from a member named @presto who is no longer very active. My lift was a bit extreme in the beginning at over 4in in the rear. But with the 3 degree shims there were no vibrations. I would consider trying something a little less if your lift is around 2.75in like most here, maybe a 2 degree shim. They are super easy to install but make sure to buy new u bolts and have center pins that are long enough to accommodate the added height of the pack. I believe Low Range OffRoad sells them and so does Wheeler's Offroad. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for your response, mine is at around 3" of lift so I think I'm going to get the 3 degree shims too.
