    Last day of the sale!

Thanks to numerous inquiries about a Group Buy for Spiker Engineering's High Lift Hood Strut kits, we're having our Tacoma World "Why Wait Till Black Friday?" Group Buy.

Starting now and through Mon, Dec 2, take 10% off all our hood strut kits for 1st and 2nd Gen Tacomas and 3rd Gen 4Runners, using the coupon code "TWBFGB".

    ethan4 (3).jpg

Our high lift hood struts are the only ones available for Toyota trucks that offer you the flexibility to have your truck's hood open to any height between stock and up to 8" above stock, for unparalleled access and lighting:

    1st gen tacoma.jpg
    2nd gen taco.jpg
Note that you do NOT have to set your hood at the max height setting - if you have ditch lights, or simply don't need this feature, you can choose whatever height you want, between stock and max.

Please follow the links below for your own Spiker Engineering hood strut kit:

If I currently have a pair of Redline Tuning on there now would these be a simple swap? Or would new mounting points need to be drilled?

If you wanted to replace a redline kit on a 1st or 2nd Gen, you would be able to reuse the fender brackets, but would need to install the new hood brackets that we supply (they are different, and would go in different locations from Redline).

If you mean for your 3rd Gen, we don't yet have a kit out for the 3rd Gen (should be very soon). And I think that our fender locations may end up being different from the Redline locations, so you may not be able to reuse those either. I'll know for sure once the kit is finalized.

Sure thing - the good new is that on the 3rd Gen's, the fender brackets are covered by the plastic trim piece, so you would not be staring at unused holes if you relocate the brackets.

Do you need to drill/rivet anything for the install?

Yes, you need to drill several ~3/16" holes to attach the fender and hood mounting brackets.
