Hey guys im joining the camburg spindle club soon (so pumped!) and im thinking about throwing some 285/75/16's on there as well. Will the 285's be fine with this setup? These spindles add 1.5 inches on each side and I think i read somewhere that spacers made these tires rub in places you cant cut. I also relized that there are two different spindles, one for stock travel and one for LT. What the difference between the two? Im going to LT sometime in my future, does this mean im going to have to get new spindles when I finally decide to turn my truck into a beast?

Ask Camburg, but I think you can run the LT spindle for now till you get LT. If not, just wait and get everything together.

I can tell you from experience, you're not gonna rub anywhere with 285s! That is, on mid travel. You WILL NEED new rims with proper offset/backspacing or your tire WILL rib on the spindle.

Oh I didnt think of that option thanks but im not getting the LT in the near future so I dont know. I have kmc hoss wheels with 4.5 backspacing, I think they will work?

I am running Camburg spindles now. If you get you have the proper backspacing that you will need and with the 285's there should be no problems with rubbing as long as you use those wheels.

Is the long travel spindle just missing the sway bar mount?

I couldn't tell ya. As far as I knew you were able to run the spindles with their LT kit no matter what, however, you might be limited to specific LT kits that you can run with them. For example you wouldn't be able to run the Engage LT kit with these spindles.

What do you guys do for the rear? I mean the front will stick out about an 1" so do you add spacers to the rear?

should be good to go. my FJ TRD wheels fit 285 just fine, and they are 4.5' BS

no, the non LT ones can have the sway bar provision or not. im almost positive the difference in the LT ones is that they are set up to run a uniball on the lower mount, whereas the non LT ones are set up to bolt to your OEM lower ball joint mount.
