So I just got my 2017 DCSB and my previous car I had installed Focal ISS 6.5" speakers and tweeters and had to take them out due to someone rear ending me. Has anyone tried to splice tweeters from the dash speakers? How do they sound? I couldnt find a thread that mentioned it. Also, without taking out the back seat has anyone put in Orion subwoofers? Im in the Idea phase. I apolgize if I sound ignorant

gosh.. where do I start, 18x9’s on 275-65 ridge grapplers. Bilsteins, clazzio leather, audio consists of stereo integrity, fosgate power amps, sundown audio, hybrid audio. Plus more...
I wouldn't do that !!! First off ur tweeters have to be crossovered. U would blow them in a sec if u tapped into full range 3.5

Agreed. Not a wise decision to tap into the standard speakers without any sort of crossover there first. Otherwise you are just supplying them full blast unfiltered audio which will kill them insanely quick.

I'm in the same boat, wanting to upgrade audio. Seems you have a component set of Focals and want to put the woofer/speaker into the door and the tweeter in the dash up by the windshield.

Would you be required to run the crossover from the Focal component set in the door and drive the tweeter off of that (ideally in the dash at stock location, requiring some wires to be run) or could you just not use the Focal crossover and just plug n play the woofer and tweeter at stock locations?

    Thanks!

The tweeter came with crossovers and same with the woofers. So if the tweeters came with crossovers I can just plug and play them?

Post pictures of the speakers and x-overs. It will help to determine what you have.

The crossovers are in line with the speaker wire
