Nothing at all wrong with black fender flares, or chrome bumpers.20160226_135519.jpg 20160416_091053.jpg

You get more than just the locker, you also get softer/ improved Bilstein shocks, hydraulic brake booster and either crawl control or ATRAC depending on transmission for the same price as the Sport.

I don't know, he said it was a 2016, I didn't ask to see his paperwork. It was certainly a 3rd-gen TRD Pro.

I think you look for too many things to argue about :argue:

Everything else has trac, so I don’t consider that a main reason to choose one or the other. Don’t get me wrong, that module is technically the shit, and the brains behind that is incredible. But if it came down to choice of color vs that module, I would choose color, because I know I can get by without it.

Question. On the off road manual. Can you still upgrade the e locker if you wanted to? Or does it complicate things? Also, ATRAC is the same as crawl control for manuals? Lastly, does the OR have daytime running LEDs?

OR comes with an E locker regardless of transmission, its standard equipment.

Crawl control is available on the OR AT only, like 4wd cruise control, set it and let it do it's job, you just steer. No heal / toe or clutch to worry about when getting out of a bind.

Both TRD OR and Sport have daytime running LEDs, also has push button start, keyless entry and Entune, basically the same interior.

So what’s ATRAC then? Thought it was in place of crawl control. And thanks again to all for the help, and dealing with my noob-ness!

Sorry, what I meant was does having the e locker / brake booster on the OR affect future mods like an after market locker / suspension/ etc as opposed to an SR5 or Sport?

I hope you did not take it that way, the last thing I want to do is argue, was just pointing out that there was no 2016 Pro.

you already have a locker with the OR, are you planning to build a rock crawler?

Adding a locker means changing out the rear end so it's a mute point whether SR or SR5, Sport or OR.

Does not affect changing out the suspension to something a little better and higher, many have done it including myself.

Haha. I have yet to see @shakerhood pick a fight on here, quite the opposite actually.

I think he was just pointing it out to you that the pro came out in 17

Ok thanks, that was my question. If you upgrade to a better locker the rear end is swapped anyways. Just didn’t know if the OR software would interfere with the e-lock or not.

And yes I’ll most likely do a 3” lift and better tires at some point. Good to know it can be done just as easy with the OR as any other model.

One thing I’ve found is that dealers will not always want to work with u until u let them know the only way u will buy is if they get u the specific mode and trim u want.

U r spending big money they should earn your business. That’s the least they can do. It’s all about meeting the customers needs.

    Fair enough :)

Too much time watching threads on here and seeing the folks just looking to be snarky, I may have taken it the wrong way.

It proably would play havoc with the software and not be compatible because the aftermarket would be an air locker. All you're looking to do with the locker is lock both rear wheels together under certain conditions either electronically or another method. If you already have the capability for a daily driver plus ATRAC or crawl control why spend the money to swap it out unless you gut the electronics to build a rock crawler.

Unless of course you buy a Sport and that same moneyfor the OR is spent on an air dam, stiffer shocks, street tires, more paint and a scoop then yes, you can swap in an air locker and not affect crawl control software because you won't have it.
