EDIT: I've decided to go in a different direction (probably OME) but its still a valid question for posterities sake.

SO, I've recently come into possession of some lightly used trd off road coils.

Was thinking of putting them on my sport package. Get a little progressive rate insurance up front... Rears are just "cambered" for off road as I gather and possibly firmer valving on shocks. Maybe I could do a middle of the road version?

Wondering if this has been done, if it should be done, and to what effect.

I dig the ride and handling of the truck as is, but I'm always looking for off road performance tweaks. Not that I'd seriously off road a pickup. But I get curious as to whats past the end of the road sometimes.

    Thanks

Don't think there is any difference in the shocks between the two models. The axle sizes are different, the sway bar sizes are different, and the springs are different. Not sure what you mean by "progressive rate insurance" All progressive rate means is "stiffer as you load them" so you aren't really "protecting" anything I don't think.

My sport did just fine off road with the sport springs...and that much better with the OME
