I found this. It's very helpful in explaining the differences between OME coils. It's all metric though, the USCS chart is lacking a lot of info, but I'm sure all you smart fellas will be able to figure it out.

FWIW, To convert N/mm to Lbs/in. You multiply the N/mm rate by 5.7099. Thats not "precise", but it gives you a close enough idea of the spring rates.

The Eibachs have spring rates from 600# and up.

Welp....The 885's give 3" after settling (approx), so you'll get almost 4", or right at 4" before they settle in. Not a good idea.

It doesnt matter what works with what, the most important issue is liability.

Okay, i'm confused. I just bought a set of 5100's and i'm worried about coils and lift. I would like to get a 2.5 in lift out of them; do I stick with the coils I have on there now? Do I need to buy something else before they're installed? Can I get a full lift out of them and will the back shocks level out the rear of the truck? I've read every thread I can find and still can't find an answer.

You can use the 5100's with the stock coils if you like.. The rear shocks do not provide any lift. You would need an add-a-leaf to lift the rear.

Ya, I was just reading another post and saw that the AAL's or blocks would be the way to go.... Now the question is; AAL's or blocks? Is there a difference between them as far as reliability, strength or installation cost?

    thanks.

Cost is roughly the same. AAL's are all around a better choice though.

It's the R&D concept....The OME springs were made to go with the OME shocks- Much like Toytec said the Eibach springs are made for 5100's. The company made the fit together and where they are a system with very specific interactions....Probably makes sense to keep them paired.

Dimensionally, The only differences is the length of the springs. The ends of each spring are the same, as are the tops of each spring. The OME shocks fit the 5100's no differently than the Toytecs.

Really the "fit" is more the OME shock to the spring. The valving and the shock style for the spring...Not that they can't work together.
Plus I'm a huge fan of keeping the parts together on a personal level...

Yeah, I understand what your sayin, but being as the spring rates arent that far off from each other, and after driving in a few trucks with the mixed combo, They seem to drive nice. Now....I cant give input on the new OME 90000 shocks, but if they made them more firm that the N142's, then they should ride dam near identical to the same spring with the 5100 shock.
