I’d stay away from the Lucas if you’re gonna put premium in there. A good detergent premium will reduce this feeling but still won’t take it entirely away. Adding Lucas treatment on top of the higher octane gas makes it hard to burn - not enough timing advance or something, but something like Shell VPower worked to reduce my sputters

I had the same symptoms as you, felt like a miss under light/moderate load at low RPM. 91 Octane E0 gas helped, but it was still there. Also had ridiculous throttle lag and power delivery delays - none of which could be fixed by a battery disconnect. OVtune fixed all of that, my mpgs stayed the same, and I got a nice bump in mid range torque. The changes are not temporary, as you are flashing the ECM. Plenty of Auto trans guys are very happy with this purchase too, as all of the shifting weirdness has been addressed. Hell, $800? You can spend more than that on an aftermarket exhaust. Just know that it transforms the way the truck drives, and that ppl who say negative stuff don’t have it. Not justifying my purchase, just don’t like the uninformed shit talking.

17k miles here, never felt that issue once.

    Similar experience as @MOC221_

Running higher octane helped but the tune eradicated any of the stuttering stumbles, throttle hesitation, and has addressed most of the shifting concerns with my AT.

I agree that the concept of tuning a brand new truck seems insane, but so was shipping $35-40k trucks that ran like junk (as mine did, I know there are others that folks haven’t had negative experiences with and to those I say congratulations!)

This tune made the truck smooth and fun to drive and that was worth the price. Vibrations? No more. Unpredictable electronic throttle response? No more. Engine feeling bogged and smothered in high load scenarios? No more

It's true though... I'll give you one example related to the engine/tranny coding -

Even Mat (OVtune) acknowledged that some trucks responded differently to the tune, but should not have - because their hardware/configuration were identical. He had to go in on a few occasions and modify code to get rid of some undesired behavior. My truck for example, "hates" version 1.02b (development tune). Most others rave about it.
