Hi Friends, I am getting slightly annoyed because a bushing or "something" is making my truck sound like sex on grandmas bed. EE ee EE ee EE ee, when going over small "quick" bumps. This happened after going from a stock bumper to a tube bumper and skid plate, adding a winch did not reduce nor increase sound. Greased upper and lower ball joints, bought a needle fitting for my grease gun and shoved grease around my lower (unknown age) & upper control arm bushings plus lower stab bar (poly bushings) . I cannot reproduce the sound by pulling up or pressing down on my front end.

Location is either wheel wells (sounds like both? maybe? ) or center of engine. Would body mounts give that sound? I personally think the sound is funny but it is starting to get on my nerves.

Give it some time to adjust to the added weight .

Then you could just replace all the front suspension and steering parts .

Anything rubber rubbing on anything metal .

Noises can be so tricky .

Rub grease on things, see if it helps.

I would focus on greasing or replacing upper and lower control arm bushings, the lowers are very tight, and can bind because you want them loose until you are sitting on the weight of the truck, and then tighten them down. The other possible cause could be the sway bar end links if you still run it. I had an older Tundra that would do that after I lifted it, and it ended up being the lower control arm bushings that were toast.

Thanks for the replies. (I will pull off the stab/sway even though i spray and greased the crap out of it.) I noticed it also does it from the movement of the truck when letting off the gas and depressing the clutch. So that second of momentum causes it also. I recorded it and will post if removing the sway doesnt work.

I would also check the sway bar mounting bushings, those can cause a squeak as well.

I had a similar problem that the sprayable white lithium grease solved when sprayed very liberally on and around my UCA bushings. I find the white lithium grease stays, doesn't fling around much, and tends to creep in better than most other greases. I'd suggest giving it a shot, since it won't cost you more than $4 or $5.

It could very well be the engine or transmission mounts !

Well I pulled the sway bar and turned my bushings into a store front window christmas decoration with all the lithium I sprayed. I will try torquing down my engine mounts again when I have more energy. I think the transmission mount is fine only because its towards the front. I have noticed its independent so if i go over a quick bump on the right ill get the eee squeak from the right; same as left. I guess if checking the motor mounts i might be looking at replacing whats in post #12 https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...pdated-with-answer-for-dbl-cab-owners.695012/

I have an ext cab but its basically those bushings. Mine arent looking to hot plus all the cleaning i did in there when I swapped engines mightve hurt them a lil more.

Figured I would update. I replaced every bushing again incase. Aside from the body mounts but I caked them in moly grease (frame etc are good but those bolts are toast). Turned out every suspension bushing, balljoints etc wasnt it. Figures it was the only set of non suspension bushings. AC condensor was causing it.
