My 2012 has the infamous squeaky clutch issue and it is out of warranty. The 2005-2012 Toyota Tacoma TSB (T-SB-0365-10) states: "Essentially, Toyota is changing the clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder assembly to address the noise issue." There are lots of discussion threads over the years, but I have not heard one that offers a reliable alternative. Some threads claimed white lithium grease worked, but has to be reapplied every few months. Since I can't afford the $1,500 plus this will cost me out-of-pocket, has anyone heard of a possible workaround?

I followed this link - Squeaky Clutch still a problem! - and rotated the clutch plunger shaft, the squeak is gone!
Here is the relevant part of that post:
"The clutch pedal arm is a composite (plastic) material and the pivot point on the plunger shaft mates in the back. What I've noticed is that over time the shaft has a tendency to rotate alittle, enough so that the pivot point binds and causes a creak that is heard and felt in the pedal as it's depressed. Mine creaked and vibrated on the first initial travel of 1 1/2 to 2 inches. All I did was to rotate (center) the shaft untill it felt like it was in the pocket again. Squeak, creak and vibration is gone."

Welcome to TW! Sorry to hear about your issue. Start with potential small fixes first: hit every visible moving part of your pedal with a little WD40 and see if that helps any.

a lot of bad ass stuff
I was adding white lithium to mine and I also had the dealership take a look at it. I'm pretty sure the dealership, only lubed it, as well That's been well over a year ago and it's gone.
