It'll be a genuine shitbox before you know it!

In all honesty, the truck on 265s proved to be plenty capable for what I was doing this summer.

    I'm leaning that way.

Yep, that's what I learned on my 1st gen that 32's, ~2" lift, stock bumpers and no sliders got me everywhere I wanted to adventure. 2nd gen is rocking the same (lack-of) build now that I've removed and sold the sliders.

I've been very impressed with the RTs so far in the snow.

Figured any proper overland rig has a light bar on the roof. This 42" diode dynamics will do.

Also have some 4.88 diffs built to swap in as soon as I can pick them up. Held off on a front locker for now.

    But I've got ATRAC yo!

I'll just take the 1st gen on any wheeling trip that requires a double locked rig.

I made it up! And clearance was the problem then, and now I have bigger tires.

That was such an awesome day! Need to be worse at reading maps and miss turns more often. :bananadead::cheers:

Finally got the diffs in. Thanks to @thefatkid for setting these up with Nitro 4.88s, and @TMFF for helping get them up here.

Realized it's time for some front wheel bearings too, then this thing should be good for a bit.

New wheel bearings/hubs installed, which also prompted new upper ball joints, inner tie rods, and a carrier bearing. Truck should be ready for summer travels.

A bit bummed in the SPC ball joints only lasting a year, but I definitely wasn't using the grease they recommend. I'll try again with the proper grease, and hopefully they last longer, cause uniballs do better than that, and are cheaper to replace.

Yep. A little over a year, but not even 20k miles.

That had a significant amount of play.
