Speaking of end goal, I really don't think there's much left to do it preparation for living out of this thing for 3 months this summer.

    • Finish front suspension
    • I have an RCI IFS skid sitting here waiting to go on at the same time. I got in on the GB and was too lazy to make my own.
    • 2nd battery, DC-DC charger, solar, whatever other electrical I think of
    • Bed organization/drawer/platform - need to think this one through. Want to keep it simple, and have the ability to stealth camp in bed without popping the GFC if needed.
    • Tires, maybe wheels or spacers. I want to go to a load range C, maybe E, tire, probably sticking with 265/75. And I currently have zilch for clearance on the new spindle gussets.

Exped megamat 10 MW will work perfect in the GFC. Just pulled the valve and it closes without issue, and will leave enough room at the front for pillows and things.

Also have all the ram mount options now thanks to @Coop68

    Thanks Andy!

I just asked for 2.5" of lift and 600lbs over. Weighing your truck is still the best option, but being I've only got so much time and didn't have everything built out, I gave it a solid guestimate. They're riding great right now with just the GFC and nothing in bed, we'll see how they do when I'm loaded up for my summer travels.

Modified Fox Tundra rears with DSC setup by @TMFF are installed. Hoping the fronts show up soon.

Been working on several other projects getting this thing ready for its first proper trip in a couple weeks. More updates to come soon.

265/75 Kenda Klever ATs are on.

    20210410_152838.jpg

Was very tempted to go up in size, but sticking with little tires for now in favor of weight and milage.

Also pulled the tpms sensors so I don't ever have to deal with them, need to cut the wire behind behind dash now to get rid of the light.

Sounds like it's and LED chip you have to unsolder. Cut one wire behind the the hvac controls and lights off, so that sounds easier.

One more project kinda done. I'm not great at woodworking, so this was a bit of challenge and is far from perfect, but I think it should hold up alright. 60" drawer slides and a cubby up front for my battery and electrical.

Leaving for the first proper trip in this rig a week from tomorrow, so we'll see how much I can get done. Suspension comes first, but would also like to wrap up my solar and 2nd battery setup. Not sure I can get it all done. :goingcrazy:

It's sitting pretty low currently, I'll probably crank them up a couple turns.

Isn’t it nice having spent so much time on a 1st gen and knowing what exactly you need to do and no more?

What’s up with the bison cams? I like the idea, but haven’t seen them in person.

Yep. Building this one exactly how I want it from the start. Makes it much easier.
