Nothing wrong with it. I'm sure there will be a few little things that come up as I use it that could be improved upon.

First couple things is the mattress is firmer than I would prefer. Not going to call that an issue though as that's personal preference, and maybe the foam will break in a little. Also, the back window is a bit of a pain to open given the height.

    :luvya:

Should get quite a bit of use out of it this summer, I'll be sure to report back my thoughts after some more nights camping.

And a couple shots from yesterday.

Looks great, and really nice photos! Cool to see a Wildernest and GFC in the same shot - it's like "the first" and "the last." :)

Hey Brett, are you happy with your gas tank skid? Have you been able to dent it yet? I was going to reinforce the stock one after I take the dents out but for $200 the other one doesn’t look bad.

Thanks guys! Nice when a picture comes together.

Thanks Dan! And interestingly enough, @Reh5108 says he'll still take the Wildernest. I see the pluses and minuses to both.

Thanks Ben! The best part was how we ended up in that spot to get that picture. More on that later, but I am really pleased how that came out.

Sorry, I did see your text, but was obviously out and about. It's a LROR skid, and I haven't yet dented it. I did hit it pretty hard on this trip, but it was on the side. I'm guessing a hard hit to the center still might bend it.

Haha that's what I figured when I saw your update, no worries dude. My big question is do you think it would be enough to significantly dent the gas tank? A dent is one thing, but a dent like I have with the stock skid is what I am trying to avoid.

Appreciate it, Bob! Must be doing something right to be getting positive feedback from people who actually know what they're doing behind a camera.

No, don't think so. You'd have to hit it really hard to make a big impact to the tank itself. Way more stout than the stock tin-foil skid.

Photo dump, with some bad phone shots mixed in. Not that I ever do, but don't want to do anything akin to a trip report for this last trip.

This trip was one of the best I've had in a while. Good balance with the variety of roads, scenery, and activities. The best part was the level of planning, or lack thereof. You might have noticed the saying below my screen name ' Nothing Ventured. Nothing Gained' - a popular one, of many, I picked up from my Grandpa. This one definitely held true on this trip. Stumbling across a beautiful section of river to fish, a mountain thunderstorm leading to one of the best rainbows I've ever seen, or an amazing campsite blessed with an even better sunset, would not have been possible without picking a random road on the map and driving down it. So get out there and find your back road! There's a ton left to see that hasn't yet hit social media for those that want to explore.
