Awesome pics! Oregon trail? Don't die of dysentery. How's the GFC so far?

Any issues with branches getting under the overhang?
Is it possible to do limb lines of some sort?

    Holy Cross? :D

It was an awesome trip, was looking forward to collecting some of the beers you owe me! :p

Thanks Ryan, was really happy with how this batch came out. We'll have to start planning the next one!

No dysentery, snake bites, broken axles, flipped wagons, or drowning in rivers. :D It was really cool checking out that area, tons of history.

Very happy with the GFC thus far after 5 nights now. Incredibly quick setup and take down time. Also had a good test driving through a really good rain, was perfectly dry when I opened it up. Rained that night as well and there was hardly any condensation.

Also didn't really notice any ill effects from the additional weight or G/C change. Drove one pretty challenging trail, and a bunch of faster ones, and the truck performed well on all of them.

You know where to find me. What happened with the Tundra camper build out?

Yes. I did drive under a tree I thought I could clear and caught it with the GFC. Had to back up and cut it, there were others I drove under and didn't have that issue. I'll probably get the faring when they come out with it, that might help.

Tundra camper build is still happening. Just on hold for a bit.
The Taco is ready for adventure, so just makes sense to go a bit further with its build. Could raise the resale value a bit too...

One thing I forgot to mention on the GFC - the side access is an absolute game changer. Makes it so much more convenient to access stuff in the bed.

Ryan and I were talking about that. Crazy what these built 1st gens are going for. One of the few times you might get more out of it than you put in.

I'm game any time! Let me know when you can make it down.

Definitely the deal breaker for me with the nest. Loved it otherwise.

Awesome pics, cell phone or camera?

Camper looks real sweet, what areas were you on the oregon trail for?

And that looks like an awesome bench. Have you made it back to the other one to see if its survived the Texas Wheelchairs UTV's?

Most of those are with the camera, a few phone shots thrown in.

We were in the Oregon trail vicinity from about 287 to the Oregon Buttes road. We hopped on and off it to check out some other side roads, mines, etc.

I have not yet been back to the first bench, I'll try to head up there soon, as I'm pretty curious myself.

You are making me want a GFC badly. It's finally a RTT option that I feel satisfies all my needs, including the potential ability to keep my toolbox. It would keep me from being able to haul bikes, but I can fix that with a hitch bike carrier.

How long do the benches take to make usually?

It really does check all the boxes. Most practical solution to-date IMO.

Benches take about 2 hours give or take. We had some help from @BossFoss on this one, so three guys, but we didn't work very efficiently, and took plenty of beer breaks.
