@thefatkid trying to chase down that CV issue. Found a few things: the diff mount bushings are completely shot, also two of the three driver side bolts that hold the mount to the diff were loose, and there's also a little rotational play in that inner joint. So I think the whole diff was moving and contributed to my issue.

It's a little better with my spare CV, but still has a bit of play. That bearing in the ADD tube is fine, and I didn't see any issues with the receiving splines. Is this amount of play normal then?

Need to order a set of those replacement bushings.

And started working on PS pump replacement and cooler install, along with a new radiator. Finding more cracks in the core support. :(

The CV play looks normal to me. Might need a new axle seal though.

The oil is there because I just popped the axle out and put it back in.

I had to replace that seal a little over a month ago.

Also I was going to suggest Energy Suspension bushings for the diff, but doesn’t look like they make them for the taco.

I was debating welding them up. Not sure it would do anything besides delay the inevitable. Really don't want to do what you had to, but guessing it's just going to keep getting worse.

I believe the one's I ordered are the only option. Before he was making them your only option was to get the whole mount.

What did @Wishbone Runner have to do? Just wondering if this is something I should consider doing while I have things ripped apart

Full core replacement. Just cut the truck in half, you’d be better off.

You can keep repairing it, but it’s just going to keep cracking. I would repair as needed and just let it go, but ultimately if you keep beating on it the whole thing will need replacing at some point.

Cool, glad there are aftermarket options, on my truck you had to buy the whole support, bushing we’re not separate.

Good to know Maybe I'll add some extra support when I install my intercooler. I don't think anything is cracking yet..

I plan to keep beating on it so it'll keep cracking. I'll go ahead and weld these up while I see them and go from there.

Yes. Have Wed-Fri off work. No real plans yet. Leo will be down Thursday night. Playing it by ear for now.

    Yes.
