There is never an end to a build... But when you get to that point put a cage and 35's and compete in the stock class in Ultra 4.

can't do a shock tower brace with a snail in the way. Do a blower, more reliable anyways.

You could figure out how to keep the snorkel. Just need to cut up a new fender.

It is worth the trouble. I freaking love it.

How does the wheelers bumpstops work with the 4" lift. I have 3.5" on my rear with Alcans and i feel like they might not be enough to actually work.

I welded up my own mounts to work for my application. They work perfect.

I think the mounts wheelers sells are too short for most applications.

I was looking at the toyotabumpstop.com 5.25" bumps. do you have pictures of yours? what was your overall height?

Measure your remaining shock travel and measure the distance from the shoulder of the bump to the strike plate. Also double check that the bump will hit the strike plate. My factory one was too far forward so I cut it off and made my own.

    I don't recall the measurement. Here's a pic.

The 5.25" bumps would still be too short for me, but keep in mind bump height also depends on shock setup.

Half-ass way without cycling - go measure the distance between your leafs/flip plate and you bump stop pad. Compare that distance to your remaining shock shaft. Hard part is accounting for how much the bumps compress.

    Beat me by a minute.

I also offset my bumps forward so they hit the pad.

Hey Brett, do you recall what lengths you ended up using for your front and rear limit straps?

I’m about to dive in to a bunch of front suspension work and I’d like to add the straps while I’m in there.

    Thanks.

Where did you get your hood decal? I need to paint mine or a really big decal to cover up the faded paint.

8" in front 16" in back.

In hindsight, not sure if I would have messed with the rear straps. They were a pain to fit with the ebrake cable and everything else going on. They also are only used when the entire axle droops out, and I'm not sure how often that happens. They aren't needed for flexing as the bind caused by the leaf pack twisting stops the downtravel first.

    Can't hurt though. :notsure:

I probably sound dumb, but why do you need limit straps...?

Don't necessarily need them, but they prevent the shocks from topping out.

Without them, your shock is what limits downtravel, and when you start driving faster, you end up topping out your shocks very frequently. Especially true with the front ifs setup. It's cheap insurance to put that force of the shock unloading onto a strap instead of your expensive shocks. Also prevents a loud clunk when they top out suddenly.

Reference material? ;) I just dive into most all my projects.

Loosen the belt, the high pressure line is a banjo bolt, the low pressure line has a spring clamp, and then there's like 2 mounting bolts. Should take you 30 minutes to remove the pump.

If all your doing is cleaning the reservoir, you don't have to pull the pump. There's two bolts that hold it on, one on the front and one on the back, pull the low pressure line, and it pulls out.
