I've never had a Marlin clutch. Current one is a Aisin OEM replacement.

No. There can only ever be one @MichelinMan

    They're Discoverer AT3 XLTs in 285/75r17

I've heard generally good things about the Marlin clutch. @Reh5108 has one and likes it. It was just out of stock and LCE had a sale going, so I went with them.

Speaking of Ryan, found more core support cracks thanks to him. I think that sealed its fate. :sawzall: :welder:

I've got a plan that involves leaving the fender supports/aprons in, and only replacing the front section. We'll see how it plays out when I start cutting.

Of course. I did the last one with a lot of help from @teamhypoxia @Deathbysnusnu and @Night Eagle but it was fairly straight forward. A little difficult balancing the transmission and getting it to line up.

I'll either buy a transmission jack, or see about welding up something to work with a floor jack before doing this one.

Also, while you're here Brett, having some issues with my ignition cylinder and wondering if you have any advice. Never presented a problem until driving it the last week, but my key isn't turning well in the ignition. You have to pull it back out ever so slightly, and wiggle it to get it to turn. Some keys work better than others. Any tricks, or is it just worn out after 286k miles?

Less technical, less time, no special tools really. You need a transmission jack and about 2 feet of 1/2" drive extensions. Get a buddy and it's an easy day project.

It's worn out. I you have a lot of keys or excess weight on your key ring, it contributes to the cylinder wearing out.
My drivers door is like this, sometimes i gotta use the passenger side to get in.
Spray grease, which thickens and helps to fill in the voids, seems to really help

My driver's door has been difficult to unlock since I've owned the truck.

I sprayed some ballistol in there, as that was the first thing I grabbed. Didn't help and now my truck smells like ballistol. I'll look for some spray grease.

    A few tweaks
A clutch isn't so much technically difficult, it's just a lot of schlepping around on the floor under the truck. You need a good selection of tools, impact is pretty useful.

After doing a bunch over the years, I finally broke down and bought a few years back. I dropped my tranny/transfer the other night by my self in 2-1/2 hours. WAY better than trying to balance on a floor jack.....

White lithium stuff is easier to find but doesn't thicken up quite enough.
Here are the specs on the stuff.

Have you mostly used 1 key the whole time you've had it?
The wife's sienna will only work with the key she's always used.
The key and cylinder have worn together and now the spare key won't work in the ignition.
The main key won't work on the doors because she's always used the electronic fob. Spare key works perfectly on the doors.
How many "my little pony" figurines do you have on your keychain nowadays? Maybe that's too much weight?

The my little pony figures don't add up to much weight, but all the lego ones might be presenting a problem. :cookiemonster:

Never had much more than a key or two on the ring. Truck came with two original Toyota keys and I've made all sort of copies off those, or copies of copies and used them interchangeably. Can't keep track. The one I've used the most for the last several years is a copy, and now it doesn't work at all. Another copy works pretty good, as does one of the original Toyota keys. I think I'll take the one that works the best, and go get some more copies made and chuck some of the other ones.

I did look and find an OEM ignition cylinder isn't as expensive as I thought, so might go that route. Be a bit annoying to have a different key for the doors.
