Swapped in a significantly less dented gas tank yesterday. Put in 17.25 gallons this morning, which is the more than it's taken since the original gas tank was smashed years ago. Will be nice to have a little range back.

I've toyed with the idea of putting a small fuel cell under the bed, but the more I think about it, the less inclined I am to do it.

A almost full capacity gas tank and two scepter cans should get my anywhere I need to go.

Lower part of the bumper got the angle grinder treatment. Now on to winch install and new skids.

I cut like 2" out of that lower radiator cover piece and welded the original bottom piece back on.

Yes. Maybe that wasn't the best picture. It's where the skid plate mounts, so just raising that mount a couple inches. They designed that part around the bigger AT radiator.

I just like to ask that when people finish doing something. The harder they worked on it, the better.

Winch bolted up, cleaned up all the wiring of the lights, and remounted the horns. Don't think I've hardly ever used them, but figured they should be there for safety.

    IMAG0890.jpg

    IMAG0891.jpg

Then started trying to figure out where to mount the solenoid. Came up with this.

    IMAG0889.jpg

    IMAG0892.jpg

And then quickly figured out the bolt heads will hit the battery, and it's in the way of the coolant reservoir. :( We'll see how take 2 goes.

So no @teamhypoxia I'm not going to leave it like that. :p

At that point what I'm really lacking is motivation. I've spent entirely too much time on this truck recently. And everything I've been working on seems so tedious and overly time consuming. :boom:

Burn out is fucking real. I've been dealing with the same with my bike. Constant work and no fun means motivation drops hard. And I didn't even get to start to dig into the truck yet. Hope you can find some outlet to pick more motivation up again soon.

What fairlead is that? Remember that the solenoid is ground switched, so your existing wiring will need to be modified if not already ground switched.

I'm just hoping everything holds up well after I finish it.

No thanks. Maybe a supercharger, but I don't think I have the patience to setup a turbo properly.

It's a custom splice fairlead with the liner upgrade. My previous in cab winch controls came with the last winch, so not entirely sure how it's setup. Need to back track to the switch and go from there, but thinking I can make it work.

Sucks about your truck Ray. Hopefully you can get it sorted.

Anyways, a little more fiddling and got the battery, solenoid, and resevoir all fitted.
