In my defense, I believe we were stuck behind some tourons in SxSs.

A quick braap and I was passing you at 55.
But they were a pain in the ass to get around after we passed you.

    Yes.

I think the only viable solution to get rid of that is the Solo fabbed spindles with their uniball adapter, but $$$$. It's not worth it. I can buy a lot of OEM LBJs for that.

Or just cut it all off and replace with a solid axle with links and coilovers. The more I think about it, that's probably the best option.

Still waiting for a phone call back from the salvage yard. Hopefully they will call tomorrow so I can pick up your axle.

I knew you'd start to change your mind eventually. Keep it simple or it'll end up not being fun to drive on the road.

Not happening for a couple years.

:fingerscrossed: If that place doesn't work out, and nothing else pops up here soon, I'll be making a trip to SLC. :annoyed:

That's one of my biggest concerns. Like I said this won't be happening soon, and I have a ton of research to do. I kinda worry it would result in going down the rabbit hole again, just a different one.

The idea wouldn't be to run huge tires or have crazy travel numbers. Moreso to come up with something that handles well and is more stout that what I have now.

All the link and shocks mounts. Not looking forward to that with the angle grinder.

    Replacement plasma cutter still working?

Yeah. It cuts metal like butter. Need to play around some more to try and minimize dross but it cuts very fast very well.

Sweet. Let’s cut some steel. Not any time soon. I’m designing link mounts right now ( literally) and if I can’t find what I designed online I’ll need to make. If you think your plasma can cut 1/4”. I’ll hit you up later if I need help. I don’t know right now.

The 80 axle has insanely thick brackets on it and weighs a shit ton. If you can beg/borrow/steal a plasma it will be worth it. Just dangle it from a hoist and go at it instead of rolling it around on the floor with a grinder.

Does Michelin make 35s? When's the cutting starting? I'm going to have a sweet 4.88 3rd member for sale you should buy. :D

Also - Leo wasn't able to pick it up, but may still happen next weekend. I'll be touch if we want to play with the plasma.

Yeah buddy! Keep any eye on my IG for the latest #boltons I mean, build updates.
