I new I'd be swapping the suspension when I bought it. Going to try to avoid the rest of the rabbit hole though.

Also, not as big of a rabbit hole as putting tons under the 1st gen. :anonymous:

I think I'm in waaay over my head on this project. We'll see how this goes. :anonymous:

    Only the front.

Yep. I think start with 37s and see what happens.

Also, none of this will be happening very fast. Getting the 2nd gen adventure ready takes priority.

And then new overly expensive mountain bike.

Then work on the 1st gen.

Sounds like you can take your time with it, tho, which is nice. Stoked to see how it goes.

It's still on my radar, as I think it looks awesome for the price point, but I'm currently stuck on staying with a 27.5.

Eyeing a Norco Sight as I can get a bit of a hookup on Norcos.

Hey Brett, I’m sure you’re already aware of this, but @malburg114 is going from leafs up front to links, so he might be a good resource for you. Not the same as straight to links from IFS, but he’s already done the swap, obviously.

Just a thought. I’ve always respected the way he’s built that rig.

Thanks for the kind words haha. I’m starting fresh and just cutting the frame and tubing the front end out. Lots of stuff going to be for sale soon including the front axle (part out of need be), steering box etc. let me know what you need.

August 2020 - A touch of WY - ID - MT expo fishing trip with one hard trail (to a fishing spot) mixed in to keep it spicy. My interest level in fishing far exceeds my interest in taking pictures. So this is quite the random batch of pictures for a week and a half trip. Going to need to spend more time in ID when I can actually see what I'm looking at.

Sep 2020 - Frantically welding up yet another crack in the frame -> my favorite trails in the state + a hike to a lake with no fish in it. Zero complaints. :)
