Should we have this same discussion on wheels since I can't decide? Like tires, no one agrees on wheels. I tired to get a set of SCS F5s, but don't want to deal with their inventory drops and selling out in 1 minute.

Think my top choice currently is Method 317s in titanium. Any of their beadgrip series would be OK too, but I think they just look OK at best.

Also like the KMC GRS. Fakelocks that actually look like beadlocks, ultimate broverlander wheel? They have a couple other new options that could be OK too - Impact OL, Terra,

why don't you just make your current SCS's bead locks through OMF?

The SCSs are on the 2nd gen and staying there, and I don't want to run the 16" TRD fakelocks on the 1st gen.

Here's a list that is finally getting updated by others than just me (feel free to add more data as well).
OEM and aftermarket 6-lug compatible wheel options with specs and pricing.

I like the methods of the 2 you posted personally.

So I guess go with the KMC

If you just want opinions strictly on looks, I'm partial to the Methods also. Very similar to my SCS SR8s, but with more spokes.

KMC GRS strikes me as something unique that I haven't seen before. Not a fan of the Impact personally, but I like the Terra you mentioned also.

So for me it's 1) Method 317, 2) KMC GRC 3) KMC Terra

To be fair, that opinion was formed while working at discount tire in highschool. Before Michelin bought BFG and probably before you were born.
Could never balance the BFGs and you could see them hop on the balancer.

This is exactly what I was expecting.

I could go either way, we'll see what's in stock...

Out of curiosity - were you looking at the Impact OL (yes, overland), and not the regular impact?

I'm not sure how they would suit the 1st gen, but I like the machined finish, the price, made in the USA, and they have knurling/bead grip sorta things.

But what about your tire arguing philosophy where you pick a side, and every other tire sucks in comparison?

Are you running BFGs these days?

    They're in the running.

    17s. Way more tire options.

It was the impact OL in black that I was looking at. Just not as much of a fan of the spokes.

I did ask at Coloradoland about the Nittos. He said the same thing about the 35x11.5s...can't find them anywhere. If you wanted a 35x12.5, he said there's 99 available locally.

Completely unrelated, but just realized that as of today I've owned this truck for a decade. In that time I've only put 100k on it, and managed to go from a perfectly good stock truck to a complete shitbox. What have you done TW!

Does not compute on why you want to put shiny new wheels on something that is going to be more crawler than overlander... Find something cheap until you can get bead locks.

Like my FJ wheels? 17x7.5" set of 5.
Look like this (but are still on my truck and graphite, not bronze-ish)

Because I want my IFS shitbox crawler thingy to look good!

And by the time I'm really ready for beadlocks, I'll need 8 lug wheels. :D

Too narrow for 35s and would require like 2"+ spacers. That's the problem with all OEM wheels, especially so with ones off the newer platforms.

I like the Method 105s too. Always thought they looked good on trucks I've seen run them if you wanted too look good and just get beadlockers now.

or the 305s are the faux bead locker version and look good too
