Your pic of the two gears it really doesn't matter. The larger od teeth lock into the Planetary housing and the other teeth drive the oil pump which isn't used in the eco-crawler. So either would probably work.

I had already compared you pic to mine and it's definitely the right gear.

I was more wondering if there was some other reason I was missing that the push button cases wouldn't work. :notsure:

Passed that check on the bench with no issues! :D

It's the ID teeth that lock in a different depth. I thought those engage the shift collar on hi low ring? No?

Ahhh yes. I missed that, just looked like the pump drive gear was a different pitch diameter from the pic.

Still wasn't happy with the floor clearance (none) so I made more.

Going to be a PITA for sure to seal this up and get the seat to fit.

Yeah, that's why I decided to just do it right. I was wondering how annoying it would be to have the case touching the floor right below my seat.

On my little phone it looked like you cut out the floor where the carpet is ripped, I was like my gosh man! But then I realized it was just the carpet.

I got a little over-zealous with the carpet cutting. :anonymous:

I should probably just go ahead and order the vinyl flooring. It doesn't fit great, but nothing will anymore....

Do you have plans to sheet metal over the case?

I plan to weld up something to cover the big hole I cut today below the seat.

Then I'm hoping to make something that's removeable on top of the tunnel to access the shifter linkage etc if needed.

Annoying as fuck. Enough so that my wife noticed and she’s wildly oblivious to any NVH issue in a vehicle normally

    Good lord!
Is this really preferable to a body lift?

Haha hell ya. Now where talkin :sawzall:
Def the way to do it if you don't want all sorts of noises in the cab with it hitting.
Before you button everything back up, make sure that your seats still fit because I found that that bolt hole on the tunnel sometimes likes to move when you're hammering shit out

Just get deeper into this mess....

Got the driveshafts on and thinking of how to build a new crossmember and skid. Should be able to gain at least 2" over the factory one. Probably will also involve deleting the 2nd cat. So need to read about that.

    20220710_145040.jpg

And threw the old carpet away and ordered vinyl. Also might just remove all the stereo equipment and wiring because it's a pita and might not even fit anymore.

Pull that back seat out and find something worthwhile to put in its place while it's all apart.

Major PITA. I ended up cutting off the passenger side seat mount and making a new one, much easier than trying to keep it.

After my body mounts collapsed into the frame and the body was sitting on the tranny, the vibes from it were unbearable being directed straight into the seat. With everything on poly I don't think you will get much twist from the case/trans/motor, I know I didn't, so as long as it clears while static I think you will be fine.

I'd like to do that, but trying to go wheeling in two weeks and need to finish all this shit, and preferably build a rear bumper too.

Yeah, I was remembering you tell that story when I saw the tcase was still touching the floor in a couple places. I've cut it right up to the front inside seat mounting point. Not sure I'll be able to keep it, but want to try for now.
