Kinda hard to get a great idea of the fit of that corner when it's behind my frame boxing plates. But from what I can tell it fit up nice and tight with the frame. Certainly didn't have to mess with anything. I'll take a closer look when I get back home after this weekend.

It was more about comfort and getting in positing while sitting on the diff.

Close to getting the tank back in. Shocks fit surprisingly well with no changes. Still want to cut off and redo the trans crossmember and various other things. Gonna cut it close to Moab next week. :goingcrazy:

Nice, even painted a little! Did you get new bumps to go in there as well?

No, but I cut the little bump stop strike plates off the frame. Should have about 2" more uptravel than before, and match well with the Deavers with the reverse front eye.

It was some quality tape measure guess work.

No. They were too much after my truck went on a diet. Currently rocking some old Deaver J59s that I think have an extra leaf added.

They're nice and flexy, but definitely not made for carrying weight.

Won't quite have a flat belly, but this is about as close as I can get it. Should wrap this up tomorrow and get the bed back on and hopefully be good to go.

That’s a great idea. I just repaired the thin sheet metal yet again and have been contemplating what to do for the crossmember. If you don’t mind could you share a pic of how you installed the trans mount?

@Dayman Karate We were just talking about this.. I like this idea. Even a head on hit I feel like it would have a better chance of deflecting instead of getting hung up.

The shame in all of it is he doesn’t even take it mall crawling. Speaking of that when is BBR going mall crawling again?

I had an aftermarket trans mount I cut up and welded to my new crossmember. There will be bushings on the frame side though, and the engine is already solid mounted. No reason you couldn't just weld tabs off the tube to bolt your original mount back up.

I'll take more pics after I hopefully finish it today.

Haven't got there yet, but will probably build a similar crossmember behind the tcase, weld some tabs off the tubing, and then can make a simple skid between them. Or just weld the shit out of everything and tie it all together.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not overly concerned about running a skid with the clocked case.

Nope, never. I just work on it endlessly and never take it out. :luvya:

But it will probably be ready for Pritchett in a couple days. :D

No malls around here to crawl!

Did I see that LROR gas tank skid in one of your pics? Or are you not planning on running that anymore? :anonymous:
