Mine is simple and nothing fancy. Just a gun case to go with all my other spare parts.

Ideally I want to get one built like my buddy did with 1/4" wall. He's been running it like that for years with no issues, just brought it to a guy to make it. Beats needing to carry a spare/more weight. And he doesn't trailer his shit, been out to CO, Moab, and all over the East coast like I have with it.

Whoever it is you all better get it sorted out and give credit where credit is due. After reading that Timmah thread I feel like I need to revisit my 2015 post in my build thread where I installed the Cobra XT CB. I don't think I ever gave Young Brett credit where credit is due.

My bad, G. Next time you're down here I'll feed you extra ribs and beer.

Can you summarize the thread? I’m on a long road trip with my dad and driving most of the day and no time (or service) for more than a few short internet checks each day.

Timmah started a thread calling out turbodb for plagiarizing his videos and not giving any credit.

I like Timmah and watch his videos a lot but he came off as a whiny douchebag and got his ass handed to him when he doubled/tripled/quadrupled down.

Truck's back in the garage. Hoping to have it dialed for summer and not stuck working on it like last year. 1st order of business is building a new front bumper to try to improve clearance a bit. Going to start by raising the winch up a bit and build out from there.

    20230226_173848.jpg

Also in the process of setting up a spare diff.

    20230128_202929.jpg

Other than that, just need to give the front suspension a once over, and button up the interior that I never finished last year. :anonymous:

Did you weld a nut inside the diff in the rear for the "drain bolt" when you welded over the drain plug on the bottom?

No, I just removed one of the bottom 3rd member studs, and use a bolt from the outside.

Gonna have your shitbox ready for a spring desert trip?

OK, so just back into where the stud threads into the housing.

Maybe, but I am booked through June pretty much, studying for my PE exam all day, every day, every weekend until mid May. After that its on though!

Correct, I figured if the stud was threaded in there, it's enough for a bolt. I guess a nut on the inside wouldn't hurt though. :notsure:

Good luck with your exam! I'm planning on having both trucks ready to go, and loosening up my schedule a bit to make the most of the summer.

Did you have any issues fueling after the tank lift? After I did mine I have to hold the fuel pump handle up or it auto shuts off after a second. It didn't do that before the lift. Also does you gas door sit against the cap now?

No and no. I loosened the hoses and did some finagling and it all fits.

That did remind me I have a slight leak somewhere though when I am at an angle.
