    Yep.

I got in a pickle going down an obstacle with my tire jammed against a big rock. Had to try to back up and the outer joint went pop. Not surprised it broke given the circumstances.

Hell yeah, that was a blast! And, at least I donated my $10 from our hiker shuttle business to the cause.

I've always wondered if you could swap the tundra CV outer onto a Tacoma CV. They are stronger setups than the Tacoma ones. But i've never taken them apart to see.

I'd bet the only thing stopping him from doing that is knowing the truck would be down for months.

Eh, happy with the truck's capability currently. And have like 6 years of spare CVs at the rate I'm going (thanks Tim!).

We'll see if the rest of it continues to fall apart more though.

For now, I'll put up with the occasional trail repair. I was better prepared this time and James and I knocked out the swap super quick. Speaking of which - I love the gzila CV puller tool. Makes getting the CV out really easy.

Yes. Might save it for when I break an inner joint. :cookiemonster:

And it was, then it was a rag, now it is trash.

Last weekend highlighted i need to sort out my bed organization, so I picked up a weather guard that fits pretty well off of marketplace. Didn't even need to move the battery, but might end up putting it in the box. Should be able to fit all the truck gear and spares in there. Just need to figure out a way to stack the spare tire and some camping gear. Was debating on a soft topper, but don't want to loose visibility.

How much clearance did you end up with for the air box after cutting? I cut out the battery box, and I'm hitting the passenger side tomorrow.

Zero. I still have a hole there and even clearanced the airbox a little there. I think the tire might touch it if I'm turned just right at full stuff. Hasn't been a problem yet, but initially did look at a different airbox like the Voltant. :notsure:

Did you buy some Solos and 35s? Or finally SASing?

    Holy Cross Sunday?

Bought Solos, 5.29s, ARB front and rear.
Didn't see the benefit of 35s over the 34s.

    So I bought 37s.

My truck is in pieces unfortunately, otherwise i would be down
