I agree with everything you've said especially being an auto tranny. 4.88s and 33s are perfect with an auto. Be over geared with the manual. Aka awesome in the rocks.

Thanks man! I don't beat myself up about it, but my brother was riding along and hasn't missed any opportunity yet to give me a hard time about it. Those stupid mistake will get you....

Story of my life. In the meantime, I'm hoping my luck won't catch up to me or I can learn not to repeat such stupid mistakes. I was going like 35mph, no traffic, big shoulder, I am still incredibly baffled that the wheel didn't come completely off. Especially because it was the left tire, going around a right corner, and pulling off to the right.

Had this one happened going down the interstate at 75mph my truck might have been totaled 2 years ago.

    IMAG0344_zps7e005be0_4b6f6c030f8976e9aaeac4ff76efa90f58e3fc10.jpg

    Again, all my fault.

You saying such a stupid mistake could only be brought on by a woman?

Unfortunately, this one is all me.

Bolts. Lost two, sheared the other two. Fixed it there and drove home. Not without leaving my mark in the road though!

I really don't consider it a problem. Replace LBJs with OEM every once in a while, replace bolts with OEM while you're at it. Loctite the bolts, torque them properly, and paint pen them so you can tell if they moved. Like I said loosing the bolts was my fault, similar to how Monte loosing his LBJs more than once was all his :p

In all seriousness Monte, having a ball joint fail and not replacing the other side was a dumber mistake than me not tightening lug nuts... :luvya:

Disagree. Loose lug nuts rank higher on the dumbass scale.
